Abigail was born and raised in the Beverly Neighborhood in South Toledo. Her father was a teacher for Toledo Public Schools and her mother was a labor and delivery nurse at Toledo Hospital. Aby grew up admiring how hard her parents worked to raise her and her brother in Toledo and was raised to be involved with her community and church.
After attending Beverly Elementary and Byrnedale Junior High, Aby continued a great academic career at Bowsher High School where she graduated in 1991.
While attending Heidelburg College, Abigail began her career in law enforcement; first working as a security officer to pay for education and at age 21 was accepted onto the police force in Edon, Ohio as an auxiliary officer. As a side job, Aby was an inventory and loss manager for Toledo Best Buy, where she learned how to identify waste and loss in a large business atmosphere.
At age 25, after the birth of her first child, Abigail began another career that would take her all over Toledo and especially District 2 when she became a stay at home mom and a part time D.J. As a small business owner for over 20 years Aby led a very profitable side business while raising her family. During that time she was also a paraprofessional for TPS, the very district her father worked for when she was a child.
